What is the difference between NPLQ and NRASTC?
The NPLQ or National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is aimed for individuals who wish to attain a high standard qualification to work in the leisure industry as on of the most essential members of the team.
The NRASTC or National Rescue Award for Teachers and Coaches is aimed at individuals who teach or coach swimmers in a structure session such as swimming lessons, club training sessions and even fitness classes. The qualification is not suitable for people who undertake pool supervision as part of their duties and would require the completion of the NPLQ.
